DTF Class

This introductory class on SATURDAYS @ 2p.m. provides a hands-on foundation in Direct-to-Film (DTF) design, preparation, ordering, and printing workflows. Students will learn how to create production‑ready artwork, understand DTF file requirements, and confidently navigate the full process from concept to finished transfer.

The course covers:

• DTF design fundamentals — color setup, sizing, resolution, transparency, and layering

• Software skills — designing in Canva, Photoshop, or preferred tools

• Preparing print‑ready files — gang sheets and proper export settings

• Ordering DTF transfers — how to choose vendors, upload files, and avoid common mistakes

• DTF printing basics — understanding film, powder, curing, and heat‑press application

• Quality control — troubleshooting issues like color shifts, cracking, or poor adhesion

By the end of the class, students will be able to confidently design, format, and order DTF transfers, as well as understand the fundamentals of printing and applying them to garments and products.
